The Institute of Production Management focuses in particular on lot-size planning, workforce scheduling, planning of maintenance processes and planning of charging infrastructures. In addition to the development of mathematical decision models, the focus is on the development of problem-specific solution methods. Some of the research topics are part of third-party funded projects. One example is the Cluster of Excellence SE²A, in which research projects on the energy transition in aviation are anchored.
