Scientific Computing

In "Scientific Computing", the Institute of Production Management supervises several term papers each semester. These deal, for example, with the implementation of discrete-event-orientated simulation models for selected service systems, the implementation of heuristics for solving route planning problems, or a graphical output of a branch-and-bound tree. The participating students have the task of familiarising themselves with the problem, independently designing and implementing a model for it. Both the problem and the specifics of its implementation must be clearly documented as part of the term paper.

Alternatively, it is possible to take the course "Operations Research II - Advanced methods of linear and integer programming" here at the Institute of Production Management. In this case, the credit points are transferred to "Scientific Computing".
